Short text and audio summaries of nonfiction books, meant to give the main ideas in about 15 minutes.
Blinkist condenses nonfiction books into short summaries you can read or listen to. Each summary pulls out the main ideas of a book in a few minutes, which some people use to decide what to read in full and others use to cover more topics than they would otherwise.
The free version offers a limited selection, such as a daily pick, while the paid plan opens the full library and offline listening. It also adds summaries of podcasts and curated collections on topics like productivity or leadership.
A summary is a quick way in, and it can't replace the full argument, examples and nuance of a book. If an idea matters to you, it's worth reading the original. The audio versions are handy for commutes.
